Patrik Silborn is Senior Director Resource Mobilization and Financing at the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA). He drives different platforms, including the Innovation Lab – a broad partnership to support countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region to innovate, leverage technology and bring in new resources and partnerships with the corporate sector. He also works on other aspects of long-term financing for malaria and access to health with countries, development banks, donors and the corporate sector. Prior to joining APLMA, Patrik Silborn was Head of the Private Sector Engagement Department in the External Relations Division of the Global Fund. In 2016, the Department secured commitments of more than US$850M from corporations, foundations and high-net worth individuals for the period 2017-19. Patrik also led the Global Fund’s Innovation Hub as well as the Global Fund’s work on innovative financing models such as debt-swaps, blended financing, and social impact bonds. Previously, Patrik was a Senior Fund Portfolio Manager managing Global Fund investments of US$ 1.2Bn in a number of countries in Southern and Eastern Africa. Before joining the Global Fund, Patrik worked at Accenture and at the United Nations Development Program, both in the field and at headquarters.
